What is Awaiiro?
Awai-iro (or Awaiiro) refers to a specific line of pastel-colored sashiko embroidery threads from the Japanese brand Olympus. Awaiiro means "pale color" in Japanese, and is popular for traditional stitching techniques like sashiko and boro, offering soft, muted tones for delicate designs. In this kit there is no thread needed so instead Awaiiro just refers to the calming colour of the kit which is inspired by Awaiiro.
